Why this blog

This is the first post. It exists so the site is not empty on launch day, and to show what a post looks like. Replace its content with your real first piece, or delete the file.

A post is a text file in the content/posts/ folder. The three lines between the dashes at the top (title and date) are the only rules. Everything else is free text.

What you can do in a post

Paragraphs, obviously. Links, like this one to Martin Fowler’s site. Bold and italic. Quotes:

The best design for long-form reading is the one you completely forget about.

Subheadings with ##. Lists if you really must. And videos, by pasting the YouTube embed code as is:

The video player adapts to the screen width on its own, phones included.
